Lori Borchers, Intern

Lori is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern pursuing her Master of Science degree at the University of Oklahoma-Tulsa, with an anticipated graduation date of May 2027. Under clinical supervision, she works with individuals experiencing grief, life transitions, emotional challenges, long-standing concerns, and seasons of feeling overwhelmed or stuck.

Prior to pursuing her Master’s degree, Lori spent more than ten years in real estate, helping people navigate some of life's most significant transitions. This experience strengthened her ability to provide calm, supportive guidance during times of stress, uncertainty, and change.

Lori's clinical interests include Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She is passionate about helping clients better understand themselves, develop effective coping strategies, and create lives that align with their values and goals.

About Lori Borchers

Originally from Iowa, Lori has proudly called the Tulsa area home since 1987. After earning her Bachelor of Arts degree from Northeastern State University in 2008, she later returned to school to pursue her lifelong passion for counseling, following years devoted to raising four children alongside her husband of more than 25 years. When she's not working with clients or studying, Lori enjoys group fitness classes, relaxing at the lake, and cheering on the Oklahoma Sooners, the Kansas City Chiefs, and her daughters as they compete in college volleyball.

Lori is also passionate about the human-animal bond. As a member of the Tulsa Dog Training Club and participant in Paw Pals, a therapy dog organization, she enjoys helping foster connection, comfort, and well-being through therapy dog outreach.
